The first new venue in the Hollywood Park redevelopment celebrates 10 years in its current home and its place in the region’s evolving sports and entertainment corridor

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hollywood Park Casino enters its next decade as a 24-hour gaming and hospitality destination in a Los Angeles sports and entertainment corridor preparing for The Big Game LXI in 2027 and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Its location puts poker, dining and private gatherings within walking distance of SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome, giving guests a place to extend their visit beyond the main event.

The casino‘s October 17–24 anniversary celebration comes as the surrounding destination prepares for its next wave of global attention. SoFi Stadium will host The Big Game LXI on February 14, 2027. LA28’s Inglewood zone will host swimming, basketball, Olympic and Paralympic opening ceremonies, and the Main Press Center. The 300-room Kali Hotel, under development at Hollywood Park, will add overnight accommodation to the area’s growing hospitality offering.

“A great entertainment district needs places people return to between its biggest events,” said Christopher Meany, executive managing director of Hollywood Park Casino Company, LLC. “Hollywood Park Casino was an early investment in that idea. Its next decade is an opportunity to welcome a broader audience while continuing to serve the people who come here every week.”

The casino opened its current building in September 2016, the first new venue to open as the Hollywood Park redevelopment took shape. Relocating the casino made room for the stadium development while maintaining a business established in 1994. Management estimates the investment in the 110,000-square-foot building at approximately $100 million, excluding real estate.

Today, 125 tables offer poker, including Texas Hold’em and Omaha, alongside California games such as baccarat and “No Bust” blackjack. Simulcast wagering continues the property’s connection to horse racing. Century Bar & Grill, Raise Lounge and the Turf Club provide settings for dining, cocktails and private events; outdoor-deck gatherings bring fans together before and after Chargers home games. The property also houses work by artists including Mickalene Thomas and Matt Wedel, alongside Michele Asselin’s photographs of the former racetrack.

“Our longtime employees know what keeps regulars coming back,” said Deven Kumar, general manager of Hollywood Park Casino. “As more people discover this part of Los Angeles, we want that same sense of welcome to be part of their first visit.”

Hollywood Park Casino employs approximately 650 people. A majority of its current employees were there when the building opened in 2016, and some have worked at the casino since its original opening in 1994. Players have also been returning for decades, connecting the casino‘s next chapter to a community that predates the surrounding development.

That year-round operation also contributes to city revenue and community fundraising. Inglewood’s adopted budget reports $5.15 million in card-club monthly fees collected in fiscal year 2024–25. The casino hosts community fundraisers, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles poker tournament, which raised more than $52,000 for youth programs in 2024.

“Hollywood Park Casino‘s future starts with the people who have sustained it: our employees, our guests and the organizations we work with. As Inglewood welcomes visitors from around the world, we want to build on those relationships, bringing people together in ways that benefit this community for years to come,” said Maria Canchola, director of marketing and communications at Hollywood Park Casino.

Anniversary programming continues through October 24, with an October 22 celebration featuring mentalist Jon Stetson. Event details and promotion rules are available at playhpc.com/events/hpc-10-yr-anniversary/. Gaming and anniversary promotions are for guests 21 and older.
